Kenji is tall and broad, with significant muscular definition. Though he arrived in Askr as thin and wiry from malnutrition and a life of neglect, through the past ten years he's dedicated himself to growing stronger and is incredibly proud of the results it bore. His hair is long and unkempt, often falling in front of his face and eyes, and roughly past shoulder length. He's relatively unscarred from the years of fighting, but he has bite marks near his shoulder blades, small cuts along his chest, and self-inflected nail(claw?) marks along his neck.
Early Life
Son of a wealthy family, Kenji received little contact with them due to their constant business trips and was raised by their neglectful maid. Though even when they were around, they weren't any better. Their constant criticisms and crushing expectations turned young Kenji into an anxious recluse from a young age, only worsened by the bullying he suffered at school.Though his life was miserable at home and away, he found comfort in the presence of a single friend, with that friendship turning to romance soon after the pair had entered middle school....Alas, this romance was a sham. Spurred on by friends, the girl had chosen to 'fake date' Kenji, planning to cruelly reveal she'd done it as a dare... Only to realize the benefits he brought her, as he was heir to a powerful company.So this continued, all through school and past college, until a 23 year old Kenji, now living in a big city with his lover, decided to return home from work early, a ring hidden in his jacket. Upon discovering his significant other in bed with another man, he left home in a panic and heartbroken, leaving to drown his sorrows. Kenji spent the night wandering the city in a half-drunk stupor before finally coming across the railroad he'd been searching for. Hearing the blare of an industrial freight train's horn, he takes a step forward and—
...So begin the events of Fire Emblem Heroes.Roughly midway into Book 2, he's kidnapped while on patrol. He spends roughly a week in prison over Muspell before he's lined up to be executed. Miraculously, a summoner rescues him and strikes his executioner down from afar with an arrow. From here they stage a prison break, freeing all prisoners and killing what guards were needed.Wielding the axe once meant to behead him, Kenji steadily grows stronger with each day thanks to its influence. However, voices begin to speak to him every night, asking for more blood to be shed, and telling him of a villain Hero sealed within. Within a year, Kullervo and Kenji have formed a symbiotic relationship and can communicate at will, much to the discomfort of his allies and newfound loved ones.
Identified primarily through the eye in its center, Kullervo is a weapon that imbues its wielder with incredible power at the cost of blood. With higher compatibility comes lower blood cost and greater power, including drmatically increased strength, telepathic retrieval of Kullervo, and regeneration so powerful it renders the wielder virtually unkillable as long as they keep their head on their shoulders and blood in their body.Kenji in particular has grown extremely good in using this regeneration to "overclock" his already increased strength and work himself to the point that his own bones shatter and turn to dust, only to be repaired half a minute later by Kullervo's healing. With it he can perform superhuman feats and surpass even his heroes, though doing so is dangerous and he avoids it unless necessary, even when fighting alongside them.

Appearance
Kullervo is slim and fit, almost somewhat feminine in build. Deep scars cover his entire body, with the most prominent being severe burns all across his entire left arm, from fingertip to shoulder. He also has multiple scars on his face(check where the blood in his avi is) and body, though none as severe as the burns. They have one green eye, clearly resembling Kenji's, and one gold eye, narrow like an animal's. Also, wolf ears and a tail.
Backstory
Once upon a time in the land of Kalevala, a blessing was born onto a family scorned by the gods. His talents were fated to lift this cursed family out from despair and save them from the millenia of suffering— but alas, the boy's family would never get to see his talents.His family slaughtered at a young age by the Untamo tribe at the request of gods fearful of his latent talents, Kullervo was raised to believe that the people which left him an orphan were his own flesh and blood and suffered a childhood of abuse at their hands. His only comforts came from Musti, the dog spirit his mother had left to protect him, and the occasional fight he'd win.Though his childhood was rough, it helped him develop his powers and learn to focus them through the constant spats with his adopted family. By the time he reached adulthood and discovered the truth about his family, he avenged them with ease and set his sights towards the gods who'd cursed his family to begin with. His carved a path of violence throughout the entire pantheon, killing every last god until he eventually defeated and stole the power of Ukko, the Sky Father. This power left his entire left arm greatly scarred, burned and ever hurting from the Sky Father's lightning.With his power seemingly limitless, he was eventually sealed away within an axe by his sister, who, unbeknownst to him, had escaped his family's slaughter long ago. This axe would go on to shape the history of Kalevala, each wielder becoming a great tyrant who'd change the world with its power, untill thousands of years later, it arrived in an entirely different world: Askr.

Appearance
Incredibly tall and broad, their claws are several inches long and their fangs long enough to rival short swords. Dark fur covers their entire body, with a smokey grey 'mane' around their neck and white fur around their eye's. They have a single yellow eye, with the other permanently closed.

Little is known about the company's inner workings, even to its former heir. Though he's aware the company, and in turn his bloodline, are ancient and prestigious. Though their origins are rumored to be from 1,000 years prior to the sengoku period, their fame came thanks to the almost divine weapons they forged in this era. Blades rumored to make even the weakest foot soldier fight like a champion, and turn champions into gods. Curiously, though, not a single Takeda weapon from that era has survived.In the modern era, Takeda Metal has converted into a metal processing company, famed for well refined and incredibly strong alloys used in building projects all throughout the world. In reality, however, they've continued their legacy of crafting weapons, secretly creating war machines for anyone with enough money and influence. None of this is known to Kenji, of course. He was never allowed to discover the truth, not after losing his position as heir.
